Discover the wild beauty of Northern Norway on this unique Norway tour package that blends coastal exploration, cultural encounters, and Arctic adventures. Over the course of one week, you will stay in charming towns, experience unforgettable landscapes, and sail along the dramatic Northern European coastline.
Your trip begins with a flight to Tromsø, often called the “Paris of the North.” Here, you will uncover the natural and cultural treasures of the Arctic. After a couple of days in the city, you will embark on a luxury two-night cruise. Each evening presents the chance to marvel at the magical Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Along the way, you will meet the indigenous Sami people, visit a snow hotel near the Norway–Finland border, and enjoy exciting outdoor activities. On foot, you will explore quaint villages that capture the heart of Arctic life.

Itinerary & Road Map
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
Upon arrival in Tromsø, a transfer will take you to your hotel. After checking in (available after 3:00 p.m.), you may begin exploring the city, known as the Capital of Northern Norway. A self-guided walking tour or a short taxi ride can take you to some of the city’s highlights. In the evening, settle in for your first overnight stay in Tromsø.
Optional experience:
At 7:00 p.m., you can join the Tromsø Aurora Dinner Cruise. Travel by taxi to the pier and board a comfortable boat. As you sail through Tromsø fjord, enjoy a delicious local dinner while keeping watch for the Northern Lights.
Day 2: Leisure in Tromsø
Spend this day at your own pace. You may choose to relax and explore Tromsø’s shops, museums, and cozy cafés, or join an exciting excursion. Another overnight stay in Tromsø ensures you have plenty of time to enjoy the city.
Optional tours:
- Reindeer Sledding (Daytime, including transport): Visit the Sami people, hear their stories, learn about their culture, and feed their reindeer.
- Snowmobiling Safari (Daytime, including transport): Set out on a thrilling snowmobile ride through Arctic mountains and valleys. Pickup is available from Tromsø city center.
Day 3: Dog Sledding and Embarkation on the Havila Cruise
After breakfast, check out of your hotel. You may leave your luggage with the concierge before starting your chosen adventure.
Morning activity:
Fun & Easy Dog Sledding Adventure (November–April): Travel 50 minutes to Camp Breivikeidet, where friendly huskies are waiting. With the guidance of experienced mushers, try steering your own sled or simply enjoy the ride. Afterward, warm up with hot drinks and cake. Departure times are 8:00, 9:50, or 11:40 from Tromsø Scandic Ishavshotel.
Later, take a taxi to the cruise port. Boarding begins after 3:00 p.m., and at 6:15 p.m. the Havila Cruise sets sail, marking the beginning of your sea voyage.
Day 4: Cruising to North Cape
Today your ship stops at several ports, including Hammerfest, Havøysund, Honningsvåg, Kjøllefjord, and Mehamn. As the scenery unfolds, you’ll witness rugged cliffs, fishing villages, and the vast Arctic landscape.
Optional experience:
North Cape Excursion: Disembark at Honningsvåg between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Visit the North Cape Plateau, one of Europe’s northernmost points. Explore the iconic globe monument, walk through North Cape Hall, and watch an impressive panoramic film about the region.
Day 5: Arrival in Kirkenes and King Crab Adventure
The cruise continues with stops at Båtsfjord, Vardø, and Vadsø before reaching Kirkenes at 9:00 a.m. After disembarking, a shared transfer will bring you to your hotel.
Optional experience:
Original King Crab Safari (1:00 p.m.): Ride a snowmobile across the frozen fjord to catch giant king crabs. Later, taste the freshly prepared crab in a warm cabin—a true Arctic delicacy.
Spend the night in Kirkenes, a border town rich in history and Arctic charm.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, prepare for your flight to Oslo, scheduled around 11:30 a.m. From there, connect with your international flight home. As you leave Norway, you will carry with you vivid memories of the Northern Lights, Arctic wildlife, and the warm hospitality of the north.
