Itinerary & Road Map

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo | Colombo City Tour

Upon your early morning arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), you will be warmly welcomed by your local driver-guide. You’ll then proceed to Mandarina Hotel, Colombo for check-in (early check-in is subject to availability or can be arranged in advance). After freshening up, the adventure begins with a comprehensive Colombo City Tour. This includes visits to Galle Face Green, the iconic Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Memorial Hall, Colombo National Museum, and the historic Old Parliament. Later, enjoy shopping at popular spots like ODEL, House of Fashion, or a bustling local market. The evening is free for leisure. You will spend the night at Mandarina Hotel, Colombo.

Day 2: Colombo to Kandy | En Route Sightseeing

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you will drive towards the cultural capital, Kandy, which is approximately a 3.5-hour journey. En route, make memorable stops at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness the feeding and bathing of elephants and explore the Spice Garden in Mawanella, where you’ll learn about traditional herbs and natural remedies. Upon arrival in Kandy, check in at the luxurious Golden Crown Hotel. Later, visit the Gem Museum and enjoy a peaceful walk around Kandy Lake. In the evening, you may opt to attend a vibrant traditional cultural dance show. Overnight stay will be at Golden Crown Hotel, Kandy.

Day 3: Full Day Kandy Sightseeing

Following breakfast, set out to explore the beauty of Kandy. Begin with a visit to the enchanting Peradeniya Botanical Garden, one of Sri Lanka’s most picturesque gardens. Next, pay a spiritual visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist sites. For panoramic views, you can optionally visit the Bahiravakanda Buddha Statue. Later, immerse yourself in the local culture by exploring Kandy’s lively markets and traditional craft shops. After a full day of discovery, return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay at Golden Crown Hotel.

Day 4: Kandy to Habarana | Sigiriya Fortress Climb

After breakfast and checking out from your hotel, you will travel to Habarana, a scenic drive of approximately 3 hours. En route or upon arrival, prepare for an awe-inspiring experience as you climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress—a 5th-century royal citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you’ve completed your climb, check in to the serene Elephas Resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Elephas Resort, Habarana.

Day 5: Village Safari & Wildlife Jeep Safari

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before heading out for a unique Village Safari Experience. Enjoy a journey back in time with a bullock cart ride, a canoe trip, a visit to a local home, and a traditional Sri Lankan lunch. In the afternoon, get ready for some adventure with a thrilling wildlife jeep safari at either Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park, where you can witness wild elephants and various other animals in their natural habitat. Return to your hotel and relax for the evening. Your overnight stay will be at Elephas Resort, Habarana.

Day 6: Dambulla Cave Temple & Local Exploration

After breakfast, set off to explore the fascinating Dambulla Cave Temple, a magnificent complex of caves adorned with ancient Buddha statues and vibrant frescoes. For those looking to unwind, you can optionally visit Habarana Lake or indulge in a rejuvenating Ayurvedic massage or spa session. The rest of the day is free to relax at the hotel. Enjoy your final night at Elephas Resort, Habarana.

Day 7: Departure from Sri Lanka

Begin your last day in Sri Lanka with an early breakfast followed by check-out. You will then be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport, a drive of approximately four hours. Ensure you arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to your flight departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable journey through Sri Lanka, leaving you with a heart full of memories.
