Itinerary & Road Map

Day 1 – Arrive in Rome

Welcome to Rome! After you land, our representative meets you and escorts you to your hotel. Check in, freshen up, and take it easy. At reception, look for our information board with your guide’s name, meeting point, and start time for tomorrow.
Overnight: Rome

After breakfast, set out to discover the Eternal City. You tour Rome’s landmarks and continue into the Vatican to visit St. Peter’s Basilica and, time permitting, the Vatican Museums. Marvel at the art, the square, and the spiritual setting. In the evening, we transfer you to lively Trastevere, known for trattorias and cobbled lanes—perfect for dinner and a stroll.
Overnight: Rome

Enjoy breakfast, then shape the day your way. You might see the Colosseum and Roman Forum, toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, or sip espresso in a sunny piazza. Shop, wander, and taste gelato before heading back.
Overnight: Rome

After breakfast, travel north to Florence through rolling hills and vineyards. On arrival, head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views of the Duomo, the Arno, and terracotta roofs. Then, with a local expert, walk the historic centerPonte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and artisan streets. In the afternoon, browse markets and boutiques or visit a museum.
Overnight: Florence

After breakfast, board a small tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa (UNESCO). Admire the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, and Baptistery. Next, continue to the Ligurian Coast and enter Cinque Terre (UNESCO). Because roads are limited, switch to the local train and ride to Vernazza, a postcard-pretty village with the 1318 Church of Santa Margherita overlooking the sea. Pause for lunch, soak in the harbor views, and then ride the train to Levanto, where your coach meets you for the journey to Genoa.
Note: The Cinqueterre train is a standard local service without seat reservations; at busy times you may stand.
Overnight: Genoa

After breakfast, travel to Santa Margherita Ligure and continue by boat to Portofino—a chic harbor ringed by pastel houses (time to stroll, shop, and relax). Later, drive to Milan, Italy’s style capital, and admire its cathedral and elegant streets.
Note: In winter or during rough seas, the Portofino boat may not run; in that case, you reach Portofino by local microbus, which can involve waits.
Overnight: Milan

After a hearty breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. You leave with photos, flavors, and memories from Rome’s ancient stones to Milan’s modern spark.
