ARRIVAL IN BARCELONA
Individual arrival in Barcelona. Directly at the sea, built on hills and under the Catalan sun with the eternal blue sky, Barcelona captivates with Mediterranean flair and joie de vivre.
A high-speed rail journey from Gaudí's Barcelona to royal Madrid, flamenco-soaked Seville, and the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
This 8-night / 9-day self-guided rail package covers Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Valencia, with hotels, breakfast and a 3-day Interrail/Eurail rail pass with seat reservations included.
Begin in Barcelona, directly at the sea and built on hills under the eternal blue Catalan sky, a city that captivates with Mediterranean flair and joie de vivre. Wander the car-free, medieval Barri Gòtic, browse its chic boutiques and cosy cafés, and marvel at Antoni Gaudí's incomparable buildings, including the Sagrada Família.
From there, a high-speed train carries you to Madrid, once "the queen of the cities" that dominated the New World, where magnificent palaces like the Palacio Real and grand squares like the Plaza Mayor testify to that heyday — alongside the Museo del Prado's Royal Collection and a tapas crawl starting from Plaza Santa Ana. The journey continues to Seville, the cradle of flamenco, with its cathedral, Giralda tower and the fairy-tale Real Alcázar, before finishing in Valencia, inventor of the paella and home to the futuristic Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias.
